We’re the crew that climbs into your attic in July when it’s 140 degrees up there, or crawls under your house in January when the mud hasn’t dried since November. Every person on this team was hired for one reason: they can explain what they found without making you feel stupid for asking. We don’t send strangers to your door. We send the same people who trained on the Haven Standard in 2016 and have been refining it ever since.

Wes Okafor, Owner
I’ve been running building envelope jobs in Central Texas since 2016, when I started this company under The Haven Standard. Before that, I spent six years as a commercial insulation foreman, mostly on mid-rise builds in Austin where missing a top plate seal meant callbacks from tenants who could feel the 18th-floor wind through their outlets. I still carry a blower door on my truck and run the pre-work test myself on jobs over $5,000, because I don’t trust a number I didn’t measure. My left knee sounds like a popcorn machine from too many years crawling through crawl spaces with 14-inch clearance. I live in Cedar Park with my family, and I still answer the phone when the office line rings after hours.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with us since 2019, which in insulation years means he’s seen roughly 1,200 attics and probably 400 dead raccoons. He’s BPI Building Analyst certified and specializes in spray foam applications, particularly the open-cell Demilec products we use in retrofit wall cavities where the homeowner doesn’t want to tear down drywall. Marcus grew up in Leander and still won’t work on houses in his old neighborhood because he doesn’t want to explain to his mom’s friends why their 1978 ranch has zero wall insulation. He keeps a notebook of every blower-door number he’s ever recorded, and he’ll pull it out to show you what your neighbor’s house tested at if you ask.
Dana R., Senior Installer
Dana runs our blown-in fiberglass and cellulose crew, which means she’s responsible for the machine calibration, the hose routing, and making sure nobody blows GreenFiber into a can light that hasn’t been IC-rated. She’s been installing insulation for eleven years, starting in new construction in Houston before she moved to Cedar Park and realized retrofit work is harder and more interesting. Dana is the person who convinced us to standardize our attic prep checklist after she found a live squirrel nest in a soffit that three other companies had apparently just worked around. She has a tattoo of a tape measure on her forearm, which she claims was a bet, and she will not tell you what the bet was.
Javier L., Service Coordinator
Javier answers the phones, schedules the crews, and handles the documentation that every customer receives: the written scope, the written price, the before-and-after photos, and the blower-door report when applicable. He joined us in 2021 after managing dispatch for an HVAC company in Round Rock, where he learned that the difference between a good job and a callback is usually what got written down before the truck left the shop. Javier lives in Brushy Creek and spends his weekends coaching youth soccer, which he says is excellent practice for coordinating four installers who all need to be in different Cedar Park subdivisions by 8 a.m.
Tyler K., Apprentice Installer
Tyler started with us in 2024 after two years in residential roofing, which means he already knew how to walk a pitched roof without destroying the shingles but had to learn why we care about stack effect and thermal bypasses. He’s working toward his BPI certification and currently shadows Dana on blown-in jobs and Marcus on spray foam, though he’s not yet cleared to run the rig solo. Tyler grew up in a 1986 build in Anderson Mill where the attic insulation had settled to R-19 in a house that should have had R-38, and he describes his family’s winter electric bills as “a crime scene.” He’s the one who asks the questions that remind the rest of us what we stopped explaining years ago.

We air seal before we insulate, always, because blowing fiberglass over an unsealed attic floor is like pouring water into a bucket with holes in it. And we publish our blower-door numbers, before and after, because a homeowner in Cedar Park deserves to see the measurement that proves the work did what we said it would.
